一直以来，机械工程学院获得国家和地区的诸多关注与支持，为了培养具备“现场适应能力和创造性”的人才，实施韩国最高水平的本科和研究生院教育。
在本科，除了提供基础知识的学习外，还运营广泛的实验实习课程和国际交流项目，提供就业支援项目，研究生院由能源系统专业、精密加工系统专业、机械系统设计专业、自动化控制系统专业、原子能系统专业共5个专业组成，执行培养各学科专业性的研究和教育。
其成果是，在工业界评价中，在机械领域被选为最优秀学院，在QS世界大学评价机械工程领域，排名在201-250名之间，在韩国排名第7。
